I just recieved my Shallus Pen today! It is far more than expected! The quality workmanship and the perfection of the wood grain is superb. I highly recommend these pen makers and am looking forward to the next.

I’ve had my Shallus Pen for a couple months now, and every day that I sit down at my desk, I marvel at its quality and craftsmanship. I began my career as a journalist and respect the power of the pen. This writing instrument is more of an experience than a writing utensil. My Shallus pen arrived in two days! It is beautiful, an heirloom-type quality. The burl maple wood is quite striking, highly polished, and the feel in my hand is very comfortable in the writing position. My husband tried it and it is comfortable for him, too. I like that the cap is magnetic, seems less likely to get lost that way. The titanium metal portions are attractive too, conveying an understated elegance. I had in mind to use this for a gift, but I like it so much I may keep it for me!! And buy another one!

I really like the idea of personalizing Christmas gifts and the two pens I bought do just that. One, I’m giving to a retired firefighter and the other to my brother who flew Huey helicopters in Vietnam. I know they’ll love them. And, my Christmas shopping for them is done–in August!
